Running Android Auto on SYNC 3 in a 2016 F150. It ran fine the first two times I drove the vehicle after upgrading to the new version of SYNC. Now I get a message: "SYNC cannot initialize Android Auto. Please check device settings." Phone is HTC One M9. Connection is via USB cable. Any suggestions?

Have you unhooked the battery for a few minutes?

 

Looks like a cable issue. Unplugging cable from phone and plugging back in allowed it to connect. I lost my good cable on a recent business trip - I'll pick up a new one today and report back.
