All of a sudden my SYNC is acting crazy. Lagging, slow and connects and disconnects my phone non stop.

I have a 2016 Ford F150 Platinum with Sync 3 version 3.0

Any ideas what I can try before bringing into the shop?

 

Try a reboot. Press the Volume button in and at the same time press the Scan Forward (right arrow) media button for 10 seconds.

 

is that the same thing as the reset option in the sync settings page?

 

No, it's just a reboot. The reset option clears every setting in the infotainment system back to the factory default.
