I upgraded from MFT to Sync 3 today and now I am having a weird issue with the screen. After a minute or 2 the screen gets weird lines and then fades to almost a solid white. If I shut down the truck and restart it, it goes away, but it comes back. I have linked a video to show what happens.

After going through the trouble and expense of upgrading, was it still worth it? I have been considering doing this myself.

 

I don't think it is worth paying $2000 for the kit. You can do it yourself. The absolute worst part was modifying the brackets as my screen was not from an F150. I nearly lost a finger due to my own stupidity, but the screen is much more responsive and adding Android Auto and Car Play to me is worth it. My current broken screen still works in Night mode so I have been able to play with it and I love it.

I am in the project for about $850 to $900 btw.

Correct. I would recommend one of these screens and then the project would be a breeze.
