I did the sync 3 update via USB. I did it all according to the Ford website, but after successfully installing the update, I restarted my truck and now its stuck on the map. I cannot access anything else. It is frozen and no touch inputs work.

Here is what I have done:
Hold Volume/Power + Skip track to soft reset
Disconnected battery for 10 minutes

Still frozen on the map with no functionality.

Any suggestions or tips before a dealer trip?

 

Mine did the same thing but it was my fault. In my case I had used forscan to change the power-up splash screen to the blue one, after the update she locked up. Changed the splash screen back and everything was just fine. Not sure if this has any thing to do with your situation though. Hope you can get it back to normal!
