Sync 3 Text message notifications

Is there away to get other cellphone notifications to play over the truck speakers while only being connect via Bluetooth? I'm only get phone calls currently. I have an Iphone FYI.

yes, if you set your phone SYNC settings to "show notifications" you should have the option to hear the messages (at least on an iPhone X)

There is also the show notifications in the Bluetooth setting on the iPhone for the sync connection

Has anyone attempted via forscan or other method to override the driving safety feature and display the messages?

you can also hold your voice activation button and siri will work through the truck without it plugged in. she will read your messages and compose messages for you.
