I am new to this forum. Just traded in my 2019 Ranger to 2020 F-150. Have tones of questions, but let me start with this one first.

Is it ok if i swap the sync 3 module in my 2020 F-150 Lariat with a sync 4 module? Do i need to have any ForScan codes handy to enable any features on this or its just a plug in play thing?

It's not a direct swap as far as we know yet. Very few people even have the means to get their hands on Sync 4 units, so little testing has been done. Early reports of those that either have a unit or access to data says it cannot be done at this time.

I am excited to know more about this swap, hopefully people could get their hand on these modules and find out more about it. The one really cool feature which i'm more exited about is the wireless car play.

If wireless CarPlay is your main factor for wanting to upgrade, you might want to check out the wireless adapter at the link below. I had one in the past and it works pretty well.
