2017 f150 XL

let me first state the I think the APIM is bad on my sync 3 I purchased off Facebook but I am not an expert on this and could have easily overlooked a mistake


I tried installing sync 3 today from my old sync 1 calculator radio. I bought a harness off eBay that I inspected and all connections seemed good. I plugged everything into the truck which I read it should work even if the VIN hasn’t been swapped. Turn the key and nothing on the screen. No back light or anything. On the HVAC/radio controls (which I purchased out of wrecked truck to add heated seats), only 1 light is on and it’s the defrost button. Stays on (lit) whether key is on or off. Plug forscan into the truck and program the PCM modules. I tried to use the current profile I already had and received an error message when trying to open APIM. I erased my current truck profile to reconnected to it to see if APIM was reading. Received a notification in log that I believe read could nor read APIM DTC(something like that). APIM as built doesn’t show up in programming which then points me back to APIM is bad or not receiving power. The only thing not hooked up in the harness is the backup camera which I needed and adaptor to go to RCA. Any suggestions would be appreciated
