Default sync 3 retrofit

im coming from a 2014 fusion, and on the fusion forums we have a ton of users who are taking their myfordtouch and upgrading it to sync3 for about 1k all in. curious if this is also possible on the f150 from both stock basic headunit and from myfordtouch on the 2015. any info would be great! just need to figure out what model to buy!

It's the same HU for all Ford vehicles, so yes it is possible. There are threads on here already from people that have done it with steps to follow, you will find a search function on the forum and will locate it pretty quickly.

Here's where to buy it, google search showed it pretty quickly.

Good luck!

Yes, I upgraded from a 4'' to SYNC 3 as did many others. Mine only cost $760 including all parts. Get your parts from a salvage/junk yard and you will save a lot of money.

what about another aftermarket headunit that supports carplay such as one from pioneer. is there a way to maintain all my controls on my steering wheel as well as buttons on my center console?

Yes, but it gets expensive quick. You need the scosche replacement panel http://www.scosche.com/fd6209b and then an android auto or apple carplay compatible double din receiver.
