Sync 3 latest update issues
So I updated my '16s sync 3 8" (non nav) to the latest release from the Ford owners site a few weeks ago. Since then I've had a few problems that have plagued me that were not present in the prior release. Before anyone posts back, yes I've performed a master reset on the head unit and yes I've reset my Android phone..
NOTE: I'm using a One plus 5 Android phone running the stock 8.1 Android release
I'd appreciate it if anyone here has an answer to any of the listed issues:
1) When I start the truck in the morning the audio is turned off. It doesn't matter what I had it set to when I last exited the vehicle. Does anyone know how to get the audio to turn on when the truck starts? As it stands, I've got to physically touch the screen's audio button to turn it on.
2) The head unit will randomly not automatically switch phone calls to the trucks Bluetooth connection. I have to physically force the switch using the on-screen buttons.
3) Android auto takes forever (usually 3 or minutes) to be recognized by the head unit. Sometimes I've got to turn the truck off, open and close the door (to kill the head unit power) and then restart to get the truck to recognize Android auto.
3) When I'm using Android auto and Amazon music, and Amazon buffers the next song (for instance if I skip a few songs in a row) the head unit locks up (no on screen buttons recognize touch) until the song has started playing partially.
4) the steering wheel buttons for audio will randomly stop working for a few seconds...
Am I the only one whose had this experience or are there others out there?
Thanks!
