I have a 2016 F150 XLT. I purchased used in 2019. At some point (and I wished I'd made note of it) maps/navigation no longer showed on my screen but I went on my merry way and just used my Iphone Maps when I needed it. I have contacted Ford at least twice to inquire why this was happening. The first time they walked me thru an update but at the end of the day still no maps. The second time I was told that even though the software was up to date that this model year was no longer supported by their FordPass (?) software and basically couldn't buy it even if I wanted to. While not fully understanding the why's of this I just continue to use my phone maps but occasionally get aggravated about it particularly when I ride in my husbands 2012 F150 and he pushes a button and the map pops right up on his screen.
Has anyone else had this problem? is there a fix?
In hindsight I've wondered if when I purchased this truck I had a 'Complimentary' subscription to Ford's connect service for a specified time and when that expired is when the maps no longer showed on the dash screen ?? My current software version is Sync 3 v3.0.20204.
