Sync 3 AppLink

Sync 3 AppLink
Is anyone else struggling to get apps from your phone to work on Sync 3?
I have a 2016 with Sync 3 and the latest update. My truck was built in August, so it has the latest and greatest version of Sync 3.
Andriod Auto works great and I have no issues with that.
I downloaded Ford's AppLink app to my Samsung Galaxy S6 and followed the pairing instructions.
When I click on the APPS button on Sync 3 I have the following icons
1. Find Apps
2. Sirius Travel Link
3. Accuweather (no logo)
4. Ford AppLink (no logo)
5. Spotify (no logo)
The logo for Spotify used to show up, but now it just a link of a chain.
If I press on Accuweather, it goes to a new blank screen that says Accuweather at the top and has a menu button. The rest of the screen is blank.
If I press on the menu button, I have options to select like MINUTECAST, FORECAST, 10 DAY, etc. When I press on any of these items, I just get a blank screen. The only button that works is EXIT ACCUWEATHER.
I'm just curious, can anyone get Accuweather to work?
Spotify works, but only on Andriod Auto, or when I select it thru the audio screen.
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I would have thought that the APPS section in Sync 3 would be more useful.

Just tried it the other day, just got a page saying it was loading, but never did. Showed up as a audio app and no way to get back to other sources on the touch screen, finally just used the media button on the steering wheel to get back to other audio sources. Uninstalled the app.
