Hey guys, new to the forum. Just picked up a new (to me) 2018 lariat a couple months ago. I noticed the passenger side speakers do not work when playing music through apple car play or Bluetooth from my phone. Music from the radio comes through the speakers just fine. Dealer told me most likely a faulty apim that would need replacing. Anybody have this similar issue? Thanks!

 

Do you have the same issue with other sources, like XM or music on USB?

 

A friend of mine just got done fixing this exact same issue. He went to some extremes. He installed new speakers and that didn't work. He then ran them through an amplifier thinking the speaker wires might be bad. That didn't work. Just when he was about to give up, he checked the hearing enhancements of his phone and they were balanced completely to one side. Centered the balance on his phone and fixed. He got a really nice sounding radio out of it though.

 

What do you mean hearing enhancements? Is this on an iPhone? Can you ask exactly what he changed?
