I updated my Sync system with the 3.0 software version via USB stick. It seems to have installed correctly except on the software update screen on the heaunit ita been saying its downloading an update. Ita been stuck on this since I updated this past March.

Frankly, I dont get the point of he wifi update. Its never worked. I started with version 2.0 then 2.3 and the current 3.0 software versions. All done via USB.

Thoughts?

 

Have you tried doing a master reset?

 

Yeah it still sits there.

 

I would try turning off the automatic system updates. If that doesn't work I would make the dealer fix it.

 

My truck does the same thing, however it has 18093 installed which is the latest. I wouldn't worry about it, sometimes Fords back end server still thinks you're on the old SYNC version and tried to update. Did you go to owner.ford.com and upload the .xml file confirming you are running the latest sync?

 

The Ford web site has never taken the uploaded .xml file from any of the updates. Always come back with some error message.
