Yeah the fake engine noise was annoying and I plan on doing some audio work at some point so I had the dealer disable it. As for the ecoboost, I had the 5.3 V8 in the Silverado I traded in on it and this thing is sneaky fast, especially in sport mode. I am excited to take this truck out to Colorado next summer for some more mountain climbing to see how big of a difference the turbo V6 has compared to the sluggish V8 at altitude.

I went with the King Ranch instead of the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate 4X4 6.2l this time because GMC doesn't match up with the luxury/convenience extras (proximity door unlocking and push button start and rear AC vents). The Ford wins with all the "extras" that come on the King Ranch and Limited. GMC I think does win with the powertrain option (6.2l). Looks are obviously in the eye of the beholder and I give the edge to GMC with a tougher "truck front and rear. I don't have a problem with the rectangular wheelwells, especially on the black trucks (the ONLY color for me).

Nice ride, you won't be disappointed. I too switched from a GMC to a Limited in 2011. I am now in my third one. For floor mats, there are a couple of threads. I went with the Huskys this time around. Had the Weathertechs in my '11 and '14 but the didn't seem to hold in the water and slush very well. The Huskys seem like they will do a much better job and the rubber feels more quality. My mat is a bit dirty but here is a pic for reference. They do cover part of the backlit sill.

It's actually not fake noise. It uses noise cancellation techniques to diminish some noise while accentuating others. No more fake than an aftermarket exhaust that accentuates and magnifies some exhaust notes over others.

I don't get all the complaining about the "fake" engine noise. I've never noticed anything in mine. Or maybe I just can't hear it over all the cheap plastic rattling in my cab....

Anyway....Super nice truck OP! and Semper Fi brother!
