Default Swapping out Sync 3 for something else?

New member here and have a question. Has anyone swapped out the Sync 3 system for something aftermarket that works better? I have a '17 Lariat w/ 44,000 miles and Sync3 just crapped out. Navigation won't work phones won't connect on bluetooth and the screen is severely laggy. Based on my research its probably the APIM module. Since I'm out of warranty would it be better to ditch the whole Sync system for something else? I see a lot of people that switch from the base radio to something aftermarket but not a lot of people with Sync3 swapping. Anyone have any insight?

Which one? The 2 I've seen are from Phoenix Automotive and linksWell. Do those retain the heated and cooled seats?

The APIM is still required for the Phoenix/Linkswell/etc.

As mentioned, APIM is needed as it is your link to everything the system controls. Also be sure you read through the long thread on the Tesla screen, it has some quirks, and I personally think it looks awful, the graphics and that, not the screen itself.
