Swapping out Navigation module

I have a chance to purchase a 8" display with navigation for my 2015 f150 that has 8" MFT only. Does anyone know if this would be a plug and play swap or would i be required to go to a dealer to activate.

Are you talking going from 4.2" to 8"? Just confused because you say 8" MFT only. 8" is MFT whether it has NAV or not.

the Package contains both the screen and the behind the screen module. Yes i realize I would require the sd card also.

My XLT already has the 8 " screen but no navigation

The hardware is plug and play but the APIMs are programmed for the options of the vehicle. If you have both VINs available I can look it up and tell you if the programming matches.
