Default Swapping Lariat Tow mirrors for Stock

I found an in stock lariat with all my options I want except it has the extending tow mirrors which I don't need and not really what I want from an appearance perspective. Do you think its possible to swap out the stock lariat mirrors with the tow mirrors. Would it be plug and play? Maybe I can find someone who wants to switch as I am sure buying the parts would be hugely costly.

For those of you that do have the tow mirrors any feedback I should think about.

You just have to keep in mind that you need to find mirrors that swap from one to the other easily-and what i mean by that is making sure they have the same options (blis, camera, etc etc etc).

What does the truck you are looking at have in terms of options? I am looking at seapping mine (also a lariat)-maybe we can work something out...

It's a lariat with the 501a package so just the blis and led lights

If it's like for like is it a simple swap? Do I need to get the car reprogrammed by the dealer?

Thanks

Where you from I would swap! I have a 15 lariat with regular mirrors I work at ford. I believe they would just be plug and play as long as they have blis and power fold and led spot light like mine.

NO DO NOT let the dealer tell you they have to re program it, that is false. My dealer tried to re program my factory tow mirror that was replaced under warranty for rattling. Totally screwed up four other features! I replaced my tow mirrors for the small ones myself and it's plug and play as long as features are the same.

This is not entirely true. If you have 360 Camera setup, and you want the camera images to all line up properly, you will need to have them reprogrammed. If you just have every other feature, and the mirrors are the same in that aspect, your good to go for plug and play.

Also to note. If your going to do a swap with someone, there most likely going to want your switch panel also, because it has the power extension for the tow mirrors built it.
