Default Swapping A Grille

Got a new grille delivered today and will tackle that tomorrow. 2016 Lariat. Are there any tips/tricks/useful tools I need? Can it be accomplished from above with the hood up?

A metal panel popper tool from the auto parts store will help get all those plastic clips that hold the dust covers off the top and sides. I replaced the lariat bar grill with the raptor style last month and just needed a standard socket set and extension. There are a few good videos on youtube but some go too far with removing the whole bumper.

You can also get the plastic trim tools from Harbor Freight and those work pretty good for getting the push pins out on top of the radiator support and other places. When you pull the shutters off the back of the grill, you may have a clip or two come loose or the mounting screws. DON'T LOSE THEM!! Seems no one has found a way to replace the ones that get lost. Other than that, enjoy the new look!! And be patient, take your time.
