Default Swapping to 3.73's

Hello all, I'm in the middle of putting my 6" zone lift in my 15 and I have the front diff laying there on the ground so in my mind it's a perfect time to swap out the gears from my crap 3.31s, I'm thinking of ordering up the ring and pinion from Tasca ford or autonation whichever is cheaper and having my dealer install them, to maybe keep my warranty lol. Do you think I would save a lot considering I would bring them just the diff and my own parts instead of the whole pickup up there ? or will I still get hosed on labor ? If not il just do them myself and I know I coud just call the dealer and ask but just curious what you guys think.

Not for sure they'd even mess with that. Sounds like a DIY to me.

Depends on the dealer. Where I work they would do it, we just ahd a guy come in for a gear swap on a 15 mustang to 3.73. I don't know if you'd get much of a break on labor and probably no warranty on the labor or parts since you put it back in. Most dealers wouldn't touch it.

It's gonna be pricey too. I have been looking at switching out my 3.55 to 4.10....it's about $2k by outfit shop. I'm sure the dealer would be much more.

If you know a tech personally, slide him some cash and he can do it on the fly..
