Default Supercab door question

On my supercab 2015 I notice when I open the back doors up all the way it exposes two bump stops. The one on top has a rubber bump stop and the lower one is steel. So when I close the doors half way the bottom one is metal on metal. It looks as if the bottom one screws in and out for adjustment. This is on both sides of the truck. Is this normal or am I missing two rubber bump stops?

Mine is the same way, bottom is an adjustable bolt, stays in contact unless opening the door past halfway.
