I got my stereo system installed which included a bass/master control **** for the FIX 86. Anyways, they placed it where the keyless start button is at if you have that option (I don't). The **** is cool there, it's convenient to adjust the bass on the fly and what not. The issue is though, it came with an LED light that they installed under the **** that is bright and annoying. It is green, but flashes red to indicate clipping. I'll try and post a pic of it, but looking for ideas to either cover it, dim it, or disconnect it somehow. Really appreciate anybody familiar with this or creative in dash modification to throw out any ideas. Thanks.

attach pics of the ****. I"m sure you could take it apart and desolder the LED if you have the tools.

You could try a small piece of tint.

Coloring the lens with a Sharpie often works.

Serious with the sharpie? How would that look, would some light still seep through (I'd be cool with that)? If not a sharpie, any other paint or marker? Also, how would you apply tint or were you insinuating just coloring? Thanks for the suggestions.

I second the Sharpie idea. When the light is off, color the lens, wait a few minutes and color over it again. You can repeat that like 3 or 4 times. There will most likely be some light that shines through, but it shouldn't be as much as there is now. I have those little night light plugs in my house that plug into the wall, and the light is still way to bright at night when your half awake, so I took a red Sharpie and colored those suckers in. It's 100 times better now haha. Worst case though is that it doesn't work, then you can just rub it off with one of those clorox wipes.
