Subwoofer Advice
Looking at adding some bass to my truck. I have an amp and sub from my truck I just sold with a prefab under seat enclosure. I want to utilize the space behind the rear seat (crew cab). I would have to build a new enclosure and buy an amp wiring kit if I decided to reuse this. What I have is a JBL GTO 501ez amp, and a Skar ev 10 shallow sub. This setup sounded decent, not ground shaking but rounded out the sound well in my previous truck. Right now I really don't want to have to build a box, so I was thinking about going with one of the underseat subs, like the kicker hide away so I could utilize the stock power wire and hi level inputs. From my research, the 150 RMS should be ok for the factory power wire to amp, is this right? would 200 RMS be too much. I found these and thought they might be good.

Your amp will run this, and it will fit behind the rear seat, allowing it to fully fold up.
It sounds better than the powered boxes, surprisingly good, really.
Unless you are sold on the ease of the powered set-ups. I'm not sure I would count on any long term reliability of either of those units.

If your willing to spend a bit more I can recommend this.
Pumps more than enough bass to keep up with my amplified speakers, sound quality is very good and fits with room to spare. Pretty Surprising.

I have 2 of these behind my rear seat in my 2013. They sound decent and have never given me any issues since installing them in 2013

I installed a low profile Pioneer 10” that comes in a premade box behind the seat of my F150. I can still use my underseat storage and it’s completely hidden away. Only small drawback is that if I try and fold the bench up it won’t quite lock into place as it contacts the box. Kicker has a CompRT that has a slightly smaller box and is available at 2 ohm.....I may switch to that in the future.

Anyone know if this box would fit behind the seat? If so, this would be a lot easier than building a box and I could use my amp and sub I have now...

I installed the and I am very happy with it. Fits behind the seat and out of the way and gives me some nice low end - I dont crank the system full volume or anything like that (anymore), but this serves my purposes without spending $1000 on a more bulky setup.
On my system, I did use Forscan to turn on the sub and used the Motorcraft WPT1212 Connector/Pigtail to wire the sub in much easier, however, despite what I expected for getting power at that location, I did not and ended up running a wire to the battery. Otherwise the sound cables worked fine.
