Default Sticking ignition

2017 with keyed ignition. Recently the ignition has started to “stick” after removing the key. The key-in-ignition chime keeps going until I push the silver portion in a few times to make it stop. Everything else works fine. Any ideas?

Time to replace that part.
There are contacts made when the key is inserted.
They are sticking closed.
Those, contacts open when key is removed are used as a signal to turn off the dash, the radio, begin the timing to turn off the parking lights and remove power window from operation, power port timing. etc.
So important to get fixed.
Good luck.
