Steering wheel controls question
Since the weather has cooled some I sometimes check my tire pressure after I start down the road. I always keep it in Trip 1 and now after hitting the right arrow to go to tire pressure when I hit the OK button it will go everywhere except tire pressure. No rhyme or reason where it will end up when trying to get it back to Trip 1. It might go to trailer info or compass and anywhere but where I want it to. Curious if anybody has had this problem and what needs to be replaced or can be done to fix it. Called service dept at dealer today and might of well just called my mother and asked her. Said it would be 110.00 to diagnose the problem. Only thing I would know to do would be unhook the battery to see if somehow it would reset, but I doubt if that would do it.
It on pages 110 and 111 in your 2016 Owner manual.
Be sure your doing the selection and changes correctly from the steering controls.
When ambient temps go down, the tire pressures also go down.
.
I set pressures after the truck sets all night so all wheels are the same temp.
After that, as you drive, the pressures change according to the road temps and road conditions that cause each tire to change individually.
They often do not all end up the same temps/ pressures while driving and is normal reaction but return after setting and cooling.
Good luck.

somewhre entirely different. There is a glitch in the system where the arrows and ok button aren't working right.

OP: it sounds like you might be having the dreaded clock spring issue.
Not super hard to replace at home though. Do a search on the clock spring issue.
Been reading a lot of old threads on the clock spring issue, are there different symptoms between it and the steering column control module? Or is the only way to tell is with a scan.
If possible I'd like to save the money they are going to charge just to tell me what it is. Is there a lot of difference in price between the two getting fixed?

I just did my clock spring, little tuff getting the air bag off. After that 15 mins and done. I had intermittent controls would go goofy!!
I got mine here and I have a heated steering wheel. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/steer...2/#post7332356

Replaced mine myself, it wasn't too bad at all. The first symptoms for me were cruise control started working intermittently then progressed to where the buttons would do random things when pushed, like the ok button would change the radio from blue tooth to FM etc. Eventually the buttons stopped working all together. If you do a search there a some good how-to threads and videos to help.

Mine does the same thing. Never bothered to fix it yet. Before I did any research, I ended up replacing the steering wheel switches, but that didn't fix the issue. After doing some research, it's most likely the steering column control assembly. It comes with a new clock spring.
Only thing that's not working still is the left side with the arrows and ok button. Really the only time I even use it is to check my air pressure after I've been driving for a bit.
Everything else still works fine, I filled up today and reset the trip with the ok button as was surprised to see it reset the mileage. Guess I'll just wait till it gets worse before I get
it taken care of.
