Default Steering Problem

I have 122,000 miles on my truck has a strange steering issue. When I turn slightly to the left and go to straighten out it "sticks" and takes a little force(easily done with one hand) to get it back straight. It does not make any abnormal sounds/clunks. This does not happen if I make a hard left turn (only when turning a few degrees). This seems to have started after changing the front brakes and rotors. Could I have done something to cause this during the brake job? The steering also feels "tighter" (not real sure how to describe it, maybe more responsive is a better word) since doing the brakes.

I would take it to a reputably shop. Steering is not something you want to go bad at speed.

Sadly, those sound like hallmark characteristics of a dying EPAS system.

its in your EPAS system.... hopefully somthing simple as a sensor within thats gone out of range. .. you'll have to take it to a dealer tech who can properly diagnose it oppose to replacing the entire rack

Is it common for these symptoms to come and go? After having it do it several times yesterday, I tried getting it to do it otw to work and at lunch today and it has not stuck.

My epas has been doing that too lately notice it hanging up intermittently. But funny thing is me epas has already been replaced once and I got a little over 15,000 miles on my truck
