Default "steering failure stop safely"

Was driving to work this morning and got a two toned chime out of nowhere, looked at the instrument cluster and saw "steering failure stop safely", with "OK" in a box, like I should press the ok button on the steering wheel. About as quick as I saw it, it disappeared. I slowed and turned down a side road and went around the block no problems, then continued to work. No wrench icon or anything else as I've read might happen with the dreaded throttle body problem.

Anyone else seen this?

Some 2015-2017 F-150 vehicles may exhibit multiple illuminated warning indicators and a intermittent lack of steering assist. Prior to performing any diagnosisor repair, visually inspect the 3C221 wire harness near the air compressor pulley for possible damage.
