Default Startup Chime

Ok I thought the seatbelt chime was the problem but it's actually the key in the ignition chime that needs to be yanked. I mean wth does it need to chime 4 times before I start the truck every time. It sounds like a damn carnival.

Anyone have an idea how to disable it or quiet that thing. Please don't give me the door lock turn instructions. That isn't an answer.

I have seen:
https://www.f150forum.com/f7/easy-gu...221662/index4/

Which has a really good guide. But some of the wires are different colors than the ones in the guide.

Note that the instructions are on page 44 of your Owners Manual for the 2015 F150.

Seems to require a bit less hardware butchery

Note that according to the owners manual, you cannot do this if you have the MyKey

I will let you know if I find more

Thanks MW. Let me know if I can help my pushing buttons or whatever to test. I understand the need for a key in the ignition sound but the fact that we can't bypass it when we start the truck is insane.

Actually MW I did this re: seatbelt chime and I don't believe it's that noise. It's the key in the ignition as soon as you go to start the truck. I'm going to have to record the steps again.

Thanks for trying so far.
