Default Start X- TPMS reset? help

Hey all,

I have a 2017 XLT group 300A package truck (regular key, no push button ignition). I have been using the Start-X OBDII remote starter for years. It's been flawless. No harness to install, just plug and play, honestly the best $150 I've spent on the truck.

I've been in the process of upgrading wheels and I was trying to reset the TPMS. I did the ignition cycle x3, brake pedal once, ignition cycle x3 which chimed the truck and it asked to start resetting the sensors.

Unfortunately it seems this ignition/brake procedure reset something else. Now my remote start doesn't work. When I hit the lock/unlock/lock on my key the flashers go twice, pause and flash twice again but the truck doesn't attempt to start. I reset and reprogrammed the start-x OBDII module and there was no change. Does the TPMS reset protocol reset something else?

Please help, I'm banging my head against the wall on this one...

Disconnect the OBD plug-in module when resetting the TPMS. It is probably interfering with the reset process.

TPMS appears to be working. Issue is the remote starter now. I somehow disabled or reset something interfering with it. Again it worked flawlessly until the moment I reset the TPMS.

Resetting and reprogramming the OBDII starter module didn't change anything. I've contacted Start-X but it appears the issue is with the truck, not the module since the reset didn't work.

When I had a Start-X system on my Tundra the start sequence was to press the lock button three times. lock/lock/lock
Are you sure you are pressing the correct button sequence?

Start-X sells a no honk version that uses Lock, Unlock, Lock. Mine uses this same sequence. The version that does honk is Lock, Lock, Lock.

Mine didn't honk and it was lock / lock / lock. I don't remember what I did to make it not honk. I think it was a setting on the truck accessed through Techstream. That's basically Toyotas version of Forscan.
