Recently when I start up my truck, the start up screen is always on the trailer towing screen. It never used to be. It was always on fuel economy. I can’t find anywhere in the layout to have it stay on where I left it when I turn the truck off. Not sure why this changed all of a sudden.

 

No one has had this issue?

 

Happened to me with my 2015 King Ranch the first time I towed the trailer. You have to go into one of the towing screens and confirm trailer is disconnected or delete the trailer.

I almost hate these newer trks (2016 aluminum body)....I get stupid random messages like I drive 30 feet & dash will say shift to park or something else that's crazy...
I contribute it to the electronics//small guage wiring & battery condition (mine is original)....My battery saver consistently shuts my trk down when parked & especially if I haven't drove this trk in more than a week...I might add when I drive it my short distances & park for a 1/2 hr in between starts it seems to get worse... & yes my screen will change & it gets hard to get back into the fuel economy screen.....
I can see it now when it's 10 + years old the smaller wiring (22 guage instead of say 16 guage to the tailights etc.) .....the body will be decent but the lights won't turn on as the smaller guage wiring has deteriated....or worse??

 

Check your battery condition- low battery voltage really messes with these cpu’s. I had a Grand Cherokee that sent every kind of weird message ( i think one was even a recipe for beef and noodles!)- when the battery went bad and voltage dropped.

 

Well I deleted my trailer as recommended and it worked. I never had to do that before after trailering my boat but I guess I’ll have to from here out. Seems silly.

 

You don't have to delete the trailer you only have to chose no trailer
