Driver's are often wanting to add accessories and put them in various places in our vehicles.
Until the USB outlet, the cigar lighter plug was about the only power source provided by auto makers and the outlets are usually in the dash, console and one for rear seat occupants. To me, it would make sense for auto makers to have a smaller, standard 12 volt plug and put them in the places we are trying to put accessories. Also in those same places, put some replaceable plates so we can attach things to them. Why not?
