Default Stacking rear blocks (18+ only)

Funny how as we get older we still play with blocks lol.

Anyways my question is, would it be a terrible thing to stack a 1" block that I have from my rough country level on top of the rear block I have with my 6" BDS block (5" block in rear)? I understand it will not be as strong as purchasing a SOLID 6" block, but I honestly do not tow anything other than an ATV trailer and dont do any heavy offroading.

Personally I got the idea because the Full Throttle Suspension block is $325 (6.25") and when I originally had my rough country level kit, it came with a 1" block that you just stack on the factory block and bolt everything back up.

I do not want to add an Add-a-Leaf as the truck has a harsh enough ride with the 37's and I dont need the extra hauling capacity, just trying to gain another 1" of lift in the rear.

I wouldn't do it but that's just me. You can try a lift shackle but I noticed I only gained 1/2". You could try the Rough country rear blocks. They use a 5.5" rear block with their 6" kit

I am thinking of just trying it temporarily. If I like the look then I will just bite the bullet and purchase the solid 6.25" blocks from FTS

I have to ask... how tall is your truck to need 6" blocks?

Easiest thing to do is put a jack under the rear axle and measure where you are at and jack it up and measure again. You might not need a 6.25" block.

I don't think it will hurt anything as long as it has the locator pin in the block. They always use to talk about not stacking blocks in the 80s because they were just blocks no locator pins. Now some lifts have you add the lift blocks with the original factory block. As long as you also have enough length on the u bolts as to get a full nut width of thread it will be fine.
