Default Spotify Discontinued Support for Sync/Sync3

A couple of days ago the Spotify app stopped showing up from my list of phone apps. After a chat support session with Spotify, reinstalling the app, and factory resetting my Sync3, I went back to chat with another support agent which informed me that Sync support has ended for Spotify on 1/18/2018. Hope this helps someone else wondering what happened to Spotify on their radio.

You may hold off updating the app on your phone then. It may still work if you choose the phone as the source, I haven't tried that yet, but the icon is gone from the list of apps on the Sync3 screen.

My pandora disappeared earlier this week. I did an iPhone update a few days prior. Hopefully that’s not a sign that I’ll be losing pandora permanently.

I use mine daily however I control mine thru android auto. The Sync interface has too many bugs and never works right for me.

Buzzkc, thank you for doing the research and posting your message.

I had been wondering what happened to Spotify on my F-150.

Now I wonder WHY Spotify dropped support for Ford Sync.

No problem.

I did listen to spotify on the way home using the phone as the audio source, but none of the controls work for changing songs. Going to miss being able to change playlists on the sync screen. Probably will just go back to using itunes to create a usb stick/playlist. Really don't like messing with my phone to have to change play lists.

I'd give the Android auto a try, but I usually just do wireless charging and avoid messing with the usb cable.

Well if mine stops working it will save $10 a month because I will cancel it. That’s a bunch of crap.

I don't get why some are finding Spotify is no longer supported . I have full functionality in my truck...
