^agree. Rather have sports mode than not but surely wish it was an option to make that the normal mode or as you say at least before tow mode

Making it a habit now to hit button twice immediately. Really don't like the lag when accelerating quickly in normal mode and the responsiveness issue is gone in sports mode b

Isn't that the truth !
I have been playing with the sport mode/ rpm range/ speed / mileage
all I can say is this is definitely a fun truck to drive
I know I can get good mpg's but in fun mode mpg's go in the toilet

Exactly, it feels like when a kid just learns how to use a stick shift and has you jerking back and forth.

It's fun for about 1 minute then gets old. If I was in an off road situation, dirt road, or mud road, then yes. That's where it comes in handy. BUT on the open road or in town, it gets irritating.

It is twitchy if you are not used to that type of responsiveness. I am. I love that it is there. Use it a lot and use tow mode for towing.

My main issue with regular is the delay in action when I really press down on the gas to go and there is a long delay before anything happens. If normal mode was just a tad more responsive for quick acceleration that would be awesome.

I know it is a work truck first but having such a delay when the gas is pressed hard could be corrected.

Sport mode helped making my decision to get the 2.7 ecoBoost the best one I've ever made in my life. And that includes getting the wife and having the kid.

When I am going to be on the highway for a longtime I throw sport mode on and love the way it drives. Was on a trip down the shore from PA and hit 90 on the turnpike without noticing
