Default Splash Panel shields

( 2016 Standard cab)
I am getting really tired of removing and replacing the splash panel shields every time I change my oil. It takes longer to remove those and put them back on than it does ot change the oil. Is there any harm in keeping them off? I know they are for protection, but I don't see anything that stands out that looks as if it would be vulnerable without them.
Appreciate any advice.

No harm. I always hated them on my 2017 too. My 2025 STX came without them from the factory, so they can’t be that important.

Thank you! I was hoping that was the case! Next time, they are coming off and staying off! Three different-sized bolts to take out, ridiculous!

I haven't had mine installed for several years now.

Just your ears, a little bit. It's there for noise reduction.

I believe it was added so the F150 could pass the high speed pass-by noise test. That is why it is only found on turbocharged trucks. At speed. my winter tires make more noise than the turbos.
