Default The speed limit is ***No it is not.

Navigation in my truck is great, but, I sure do not like the nice voice telling me the speed limit is 45 when I just passed a sign that states it is 55. Many speed limit errors in the nav system. Can't find any way to turn that off. Did I miss it somewhere?

That must be a new feature for 2019... my nav doesn't read me the speed limits. That would drive me nuts.

I suspect you can stop that by engaging the mute function on the nav screen. I keep mine muted - I read the screen or put the turn-by-turn up in the cluster for directions.

The Nav map has the speed limit on the bottom. So does your I phone on navigation, both are not quite up to date. Our speed limits raised a year ago, they are not on either yet.

You should be able to turn it off. Check the Navigation settings.

There is an excessive speed warning now? That has to suck since these nav maps are 2-4 years behind. This is why I still use a Garmin, at least it is up to date on just about everything including speed limits.

Well blame it on old age, stress from trying to sell a second house. Those inspectors can find any microscopic problem just to devalue your house. Blame it on working too much or whatever. I need a week or two off.

I have a Garmin GPS that shows the speed limits on it and many of them are incorrect as well. But it doesn't yell at you for speeding at least.

Just wait till somebody somewhere pushes the button that'll force your vehicle to obey the speed limit. I read somewhere that this is an available option that the government or somebody has. I also read that your front-facing camera reads the speed limit signs. Not having this option I couldn't say. I would guess that Google would have the most update speed limit info but don't guess they'd share it. Does Waze have more updated info? I guess it don't much matter for us since Ford navigation apparently don't get updated.

If you don't believe how close it is check this out https://www.bbc.com/news/business-47715415
