I was going to buy an Sync 3 APIM that would get preprogrammed for my truck on Ebay. After talking more with them, they said they only programmed for Sync 2 to Sync 3. From Sync 1 would require more programming that they dont do.

What "special" programming is needed that they are talking about. Programming more modules?

I am trying to just buy all the parts I need to go from 4" to 8" without buying a $1000+ kit.

I have a 2017 F150.

Just found on FB a bezel, APIM, Screen, and radio (don’t think I need). Just needs a harness.

What would it cost me to pay you to help with the programming? Can we talk on another platform that’s easier to talk on than this?
