Default Sound reasonable?

$255 out the door for Oil change, tire rotation, resurfacing front rotors, new front brake pads and labor for all this. Just got this done at the dealership. Does this sound reasonable?
I was surprised I needed my front rotors resurfaced at 54k miles.

Sounds reasonable, but I would’ve done it myself for much less!

Price seems reasonable for what was done. At 54K miles, I guess it depends on your driving style-->coast to stops or slam the binders on all the time? Highway sudden stops a regular occurence? Read somewhere, "experts" say replace (not resurface, which is neither here nor there) 30-70K miles range. With yours being in the middle of their "suggested" range............

Not saying you do but just thoughts as to why.

Reasonable for a dealer. I myself however just buy new rotors. They already have paper thin wear tolerance. I just ordered the supplies to do mine front and rear (rotors and pads) for that much from Rockauto.com, I rotated my tires yesterday right at 80K and the rears are GONE, the fronts are still OK for now but will do them all while I am at it.
I do however do these things myself so labor is whatever adult beverage I chose to buy for myself LOL...

There comes a time when one says Uncle! Maybe because of time or you just don’t wanna do it. So for $255 it was worth it for him. I am leanin more toward just don’t wanna myself. An old guy thing I guess.

The price is fair for a dealer. I will say though that resurfacing is a waste of time and money, just put new rotors on. They aren’t that expensive and they won’t be pushing the limits of acceptable wear either.

I think the price is fair. You got resurfaced rotors, new pads an labor for about $200.
The Ford pads ain't cheap. That's a good price in my opinion.

Last pair of Amazon GM Delco pads I installed were about $100 from the list price of like $150 or something like that. You paid more than $100 for your pads I'm sure.

I would say that's not a bad price, although like others have said, I would've just had the rotors replaced.

One of my front rotors developed a vibration while braking at about 50k miles, so I replaced the brake pads (all four corners) as well as the front rotors. Cost me around $200 in just parts. If I had shopped around I could've gotten a better deal, but your $255 deal included labor, which is pretty good.

I just paid $490 for front and rear brake job, and I was happy with the price. That's $245 per axle with no tire rotation or oil change.

Our shop turns the rotors for $135.00/ axle, + pads. Tire rotation is $15.00, IF it is done by itself, $10.00 if done as The Works package,.

An oil change is $10.95 labor
5.00 for the filter
4.00 per quart for oil
10.00 additional for the tire rotation when done as The Works pkg.

Plus $3.00 shop supplies, and sales tax.
