Question Solid lug-nuts, or capped??

I was just curious. Hadn't even thought about it until now. Are the lug-nuts on a 2017 F-150 King Ranch, the dreaded "capped kind", or are they solid lug-nuts like they should be??

Thanx

Unfortunately they are capped so they will crack and become swollen. Lots of threads lately on this. Most guys including myself swapped them out for Gorilla's.

That is what I figured, It's a shame that one has to do this to be sure you have a QUALITY PRODUCT, on a new truck !!!!

Couldn't agree more. Coming from only driving Toyota trucks previously this was a new one to me. Fortunately the truck makes up for it in other areas but is dissapointing and annoying nonetheless.

you can buy a full set of oem nuts on ebay and elsewhere for 20$.

So many dudes change out from factory wheels, there's a glut of a oem lightly used nuts.

I ordered a set couple months ago that look new.

If a nut even begins to looks sketchy, on goes a replacement is my plan.

Swapped mine out on my 16 KR this weekend. Couldn't be happier with the Gorillas.
