So over the last month, every time I start up the 2017 F150, I get a software update notification saying it's updating software and to shutdown all app's and devices. I know it takes time to download these updates from wifi and haven't had the time or opportunity to sit long enough for it to complete the download. Today I'm taking the time to let that happen. The software update it says it's downloading is: JR3T-14G43-CB_15482635112000.TAR.GZ even has the download progress bar to indicate progress. I've shutdown all apps and devices, and I've had the pickup "on" for over an hour now and there is no progress being shown in the download bar to indicate anything happening...and yes the pickup is indicating that it is "seeing" my wifi.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

There are many threads re: Sync updates but the main point is updating by wifi dosen't work. You need to go to the MYFORD web site, create a log in, enter your vin. It will tell you if you are up to date. More importantly if you need to update from there, you can download to a memory stick to insert in the dash USB hub to update.
