Default Soft Tonneau

I’m looking at options for soft tonneau covers. I already know I don’t want the tri-fold and don’t want snaps. I feel like the “seal and peel” style will last longer but I’ve read it’s difficult to work with in cold weather. The velcro style doesn’t have that issue but I wonder what the life span will be. Any experience you guys have had would be appreciated.

I have the Access Lorado roll up on my F150 and my old Ranger. Pricey but good quality. The original I installed on my Ranger in 2004 and with regular cleaning and Aerospace 303 protectant lasted until about 2015 before it started showing signs of cracking and fading, so I replaced it with another Lorado. Went with same on my 2015 F150 when new. Shop around ebay and Amazon you can find some deals, just make sure they're authorized just in case.

I have a Truxedo Pro-x15 and really like it. No snow in TX, but I'm sure if snow gets in the Velcro it may affect the stickiness.

I had a Truxedo Lo Pro on my '09 FX4 since new . Just traded it in and the cover still looked just like new with twice a year 303 treatments. Over those 9 years it has had more than 2' of snow on it which didn't hurt it at all - brushed off with a push broom and go.

I opened it up a couple times in winter around 10F. Not a problem at all. The only thing was the next spring when it warmed up I rolled it up and back out to get it tight since it expand a little when it warmed up.

The '15 Lariat I just bought used has a Bak Flip cover on it. I personally don't care for it at all but am slowly getting used to it. Those first couple weeks I would have gladly traded it off for a new Lo Pro. I have yet to need to use the Bak Flip all the way open. I cringe at the thought of all that weight resting on my back window......

I have a roll up with the velcro, which I had on my 2013 and moved over to my 2017. It seems to have stretched out a bit over time, but you can easily adjust/tighten for that.

We get tons of snow / cold every winter and it has held up great considering. I expect it to last another 5+ years, I plan on getting a new cover when I buy a new truck...that will have been long enough for me.

I too have an Access on my Ranger, it's the Limited model. Had since I bought the truck in '04, 14 years, and zero problem, like the other poster, just treat with 303 Aerospace.

Truxedo Lo Pro. Had it for over a year. Survived downpour from Hurricane Harvey.

Same here. Have an Access Lorado soft roll up.
I have had it since 2012 and it's now on it's fourth truck.

Great company, they stand behind their product well after warranty even when the consumer does something idiotic.

Do they actually still make covers with snaps.. and thank god I missed that time period!
