I have to wonder if it's the guys who don't use them that end up with troubles?

Like I said before I'm going on my 16th year with a sunroof. Not the Pano, so I can't back up that roof, but the regular size as I have always had extended cabs.
I use the ever-living s**t out of mine and I've never had a single issue.
Well, in all honesty I did when the 2005 couldn't keep any of their switches working, until I went with all Dorman switches. So It did get stuck open, but a quick trip to AutoZone took care of that.

That might be part of the problem actually. When you hit the button to open the roof, it pops up before it moves rearward. When it pops up, it's been prone to sticking, and when that happens, breaks. I plan on opening and closing mine at least once a week, even in winter.

I have read this both ways. Those that use them, it is the opening and closing that break the cheap plastic parts. Then I see those that dont use them they could potentially clog and/or leak. Which is it? I had a 2015 xlt with pano and never an issue. Used it often. Now i have a 2018 lariat that I opened the pano once, in July when i bought it. Never again.
