The stowable ramps are available I have them in my truck. The problem is they are not an assembly you have to order the ramps and all brackets and parts separately.

Joshwo,

Is there a bracket on the tailgate to accept the ramps? Thanks!

Yes mine came with the ramps. I took them out for now since I won't use them often. Was looking for other stuff to use there. Ended up just putting the extra cleats on. They've already come in handy.

The end of the ramps have a circular hook on them. They are made to fit over the corresponding tube/rod mounted to the inside upper edge of the tailgate. Works like a charm. You just slide the "hooks" over the "tubes" from the side and you're locked and loaded.

How feasible is it to have the ramps and brackets but only put them on when needed? Is it doable or a total PITA to get the brackets bolted up? I ask because I thought about getting them for mine, but I wouldn't be using them very often so I'd remove them and only put them on when I was going to use them (like when taking my motorcycle or mower in for service).

There is only one bolt to loosen up and pull the brackets out. Not a pain at all. Each bracket has a bolt then they just pull out.

Joshwo,

I have not been able to find a truck with this option installed to view in person. I think I see how the brackets in the bed work. My question is if the tube/rod on the inside of the tailgate seems likely to: 1) get bent or damaged by loading other types of items like furniture, lumber, machinery etc.; or 2) catch or snag other items on the way on or off the tailgate, particularly with items like bags of mulch, sand, furniture etc.?

Thanks for your help.
