So I have. 2.7EB. I seen a video of a guy that put on a carven r series muffler. It sounded decent enough in the video. So I figured I’d give it a try.

well it’s going back to stock. Wife called me out today said the truck sounded like crap.... almost sounds like a Honda. I had to at least try to do something. Bug lessen learned.

yes I know I shouldn’t have done anything to the EB exhaust. But as a future warning to those that think of doing it. DO NOT DO IT!

Lol. I like the quiet idle of the 2.7. It gives a bit of a rumble when you floor it but ultimately I'm very happy with its mild manners. I can hear my neighbours ram start up every morning when he leaves at 5am. I dont need a rumble noise to enjoy my truck. However each to their own.

ALL V6s sound like crap IMO, so better quiet . I've heard EBs with open exhaust, and it's to barf for. Ha ha. Mine will stay quiet.

I put on the resonator delete pipe on my 18 3.5 and it sound pretty good at start up and when you get on it. Still nice and quiet when cruising, and the best part is still no drone....

Best way to make the Ecoboost sound good is to turn up the v8 sound that’s played inside the cabin LOL

nah I’m good.... next truck will be a v8 with boost. That way I get the best of both worlds.

While I’m not a fan of exhaust systems on non-v8’s, I think EB’s sound cool at idle or low RPM’s because of the turbos. But when the RPM’s kick up and it gets raspy, it loses me. Nothing can beat the V8 grumble to my ears.
