I have not yet, but plan to put a western plow on mine in about october. Will like get the 7.5 foot wide hts.
The mounting bits left on the truck once you drop the plow are minimal to.
So connect it up....plow. ...and drop the blade for normal driving around.
I had a western plow years ago on another truck and was happy with how well it worked.
Then i had a cat skid steer for years and plowed with it.
Sold the skid steer a couple weeks and bought a new to me but used JD310 backhoe.
Planning on a blade for plowing, simply because i have an extra long driveway on a steep hill and at the bottom of it i plow approximately a 2 acre bit as well because my business is operated from my yard.

I'm going to. It's part of the reason I bought the truck.

I'm going with Fisher. If it's the same as the 14 the options will be homesteader, HT or SD.

The homesteader looks too light duty for me. The HT doesn't look too bad, but it's not chain lift. SD is chain lift and a standard duty plow. I'm still deciding between SD an HT now.

I have about an 1/8 mile of dirt driveway to do.

Ford does have a snowplow prep option. It requires the 5.0 engine. I couldn't get it because I have the 3.5. It's just a switch that turns off power to the heated seats and some other options I don't have anyway. Ford doesn't recommend plows on either ecoboost engine because it blocks the intercooler. Might be ok if you just do your driveway and don't drive around with the plow on.

The 15 will handle plows in the 400 lb range, which is most standard duty 7.5' straight blade plows.

I'm going to wait until the fall to buy and install mine.

Just wondering...did they stop the electric power steering? On the 9 thru 14s your not supposed to tow because of that...people have, but blades are expensive and limited due to the eps

It still has electric steering. The plow prep option on the 5.0 has a switch that cuts power to options to save it for the steering and plow motor.

I'm thinking mine will be fine without it. I ordered an XL that doesn't have any power options.
