Default Smashed side mirror

Anyone know how to unassemble the side mirrors? Do you start with removing the glass first? I busted mine and need to replace the front facing plastic piece

We’ll I managed to get it off. Quite simple. Now where’s the best place to find a replacement. Looks like there’s a lot of variations of the passenger mirror.

Can you post a pic showing what actually broke.
That would help us to help you.

Mid to late 2018 they moved the Air Sensor to the mirror, so you’ll need a 2018+ mirror or piece that has the cutout for the switch, if that’s the part you are replacing.

let’s see a pic.

if you damaged more then the top cap, I say just find a set of mirrors online and get them….there’s a guy local to me that’s selling a pair of mirrors for $150…we would also need to know what “options” your mirror has.

My personal experience with 2018+ passenger mirror with temp sensor. If the bottom/back half are fine you can swap it to a 2015+ mirror. If you can find a manual mirror for cheap, you can swap the harness and motor to it along with the glass if it's in good shape. Pretty much every component is interchangeable with every type of mirror including power fold. I ended up swapping the power fold mirror frame and harness to my non power fold mirror that I broke.

Likely a long shot, but I live west of Cleveland and have a pair of XL/base XLT mirrors and a set of power folding non towing Lariat mirrors. If you are from the area and either interest you, I'll sell you the pair.
