Default Sluggish by comparison

My 2020 F150 XLT 3.5 EB with 600 miles on it had to go back to dealer to have a spray in bed liner installed that was part of my original purchase agreement. While that was being done, they gave me a 2020 F150 XLT loaner with about 2300 miles on it. I immediately noticed how much more 'zippy' it was compared to mine. I looked at the window sticker in the glove box and it was pretty much the same except for the sport package I have on mine. The engine was the same and most of the options were the same as mine. I thought at first that maybe the loaner was in sport mode, but it wasn't.

Mine still has plenty of power, but for some reason the loaner just felt faster and more responsive than mine.

Does that have anything to do with the 'learning period' on the transmission?

Different gear ratio?
Same cab configuration?
Same tire size (both 4x4 or 2wd?)

I would say yes to the learning curve. Mine was slushy, now at 9k miles, much more responsive.

My guess would be that it's a loaner and people mash the go pedal a lot which has accelerated the engine break in. Both my 2017 and 2019 Ecos felt a bit sluggish for about the first 5-7 thousand miles. Then it felt like the engine was much, for lack of a better term, freer to rev. Also got a small uptick in fuel mileage when that occurred too. My wife's 2020 only has just shy of 3K on it and hers currently still feels a bit sluggish. I'm sure hers will break in sooner though, she has a heavy foot.
