Default Slight Hestitation when accelerating

I have a 2015 F150 XLT 2WD with the V8. I am getting a slight hesitation /vibration when cruising down the freeway with easy acceleration showing in 6th gear. I only get it running around 65mph or more and the RPM's are around 1600-2000, I haven't noticed it any other times, but it doesn't sit in the range long at any other speed or gear. Below that it will just down shift and go, above it will accelerate as needed with no problems. Just between that range I get a small hesitation/vibration for about 2 seconds then goes away. Looked over many other threads and saw a lot of variations a few years back and the threads went dead. Last thing I want to do is take it to the dealer and waste 140 bucks just to look at it and more if needed. Its going in Monday for recalls to get taken care of and might have them look at it then. Any thoughts from anyone on anything to look at or have the same that was able to get them to fix it. Most I saw said nothing was wrong with it, some I saw they replaced differentials and drive shafts, not sure if it is an actual driveshaft problem or in the engine. Thanks in advance.

Do you have manual (M) mode?
You could try it in different gears to see if it's happening at different speeds.
You could also try a tank of super

Fly50 I tried to duplicate in Manual mode and did not get any hesitation at all. IT feels as if it is wanting to down shift under the very light load and can't. Slowly powers through and then RPM's will shoot up to 2500-2700 and be good. But drop back into the 1500-2000 range and hesitates again. Gas tank is low so will probably put some fuel injection cleaner and some premium gas in it today, can't hurt. Tried to get the local dealership look at it but they don't have a transmission tech on staff so off to another dealer I go.

61K, no haven't done that. Wouldn't I be having more problems than just that range and in 6th gear. It seems to drive perfectly fine other that that. Are the plugs in the 2015 the long plugs that get stuck and break?

The EBs eat spark plugs... don't know about the 5.0s. High load, low RPM is probably the worst time for inducing a misfire condition. If you have Forscan and an OBD dongle, you could always plug in and watch for misfire events.

They should come right out - they aren't the 3 piece plugs. I'd be tempted to pull a couple and check the gaps.

cool, might have to check them this weekend. I hated the 3 piece ones in my expedition, luckily got them all out and replaced without breaking any of them. I need to get a new dongle as my old one was left in the expedition when we got rid of it. I'll give that a shot and see. Thanks
