Default Skid Plates

I didn't get the FX4 package when I bought my truck (couldn't find any 2016's available with that and other packages I wanted) and when I went underneath the other day, it looks like there is felt covered cardboard as a replacement for metal plates. Seriously? What the heck are they going to do other than rot and fall off?

Are there any Canadian suppliers that carry skid plates for a 2016 SCREW?

Other members have picked up a set of skid plates from dealers who removed them from customers trucks, usually when doing a mod.

After checking out Ford's skid plate offering I went with a full set of aluminum ones from RCImetalworks. 100X stronger than anything Ford offers.

I agree that those look sweet.

I've got the factory ones and while I know they won't do much for protection off road, they should do an ok job handling any debris on the road (although for some things they'd probably be a one hit wonder).

Thsts not a skid plate. That's to control air flow under the truck.

Yeah, that stuff is total crap. I went with RCI aluminum skid plates as well. My installer gave me all the OEM stuff that he replaced with the RCI kit. I didn't even save it ... it went right into the dumpster.
