Sirius Radio...
Hi all, Quick question about the Sirius radio deal... Did most everyone continue the subscription after the 6 month trial was up? My 6 months is up at the end of this month so need to find the best deal. I've had friends tell me to negotiate with them because they will bargain with you. I'd like to just do the monthly thing but not sure that is the way to go.
Thanks for the advice!

two things.
1. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Either write them a check, have your bank do an online bill pay, or get a temporary CC number for this one transaction only.
2. Don't pay more than $25 for a 6 month subscription no matter what they tell or offer you.

I've had Sirius XM for a long time on a number of vehicles. I like it and I end up paying more because I don't want to go through the hassle of letting it expire and being without it for a month or more trying to get a deal. It used to be a headache trying to keep multiple accounts organized (I had 3 for a while. Now just 2) but they have been able to track multiple accounts under a single name.

I have 5 subscriptions at this time. Have had as many as 7 at once before. It's a game they play with the $25 for 6 mos promotion. You can do as others say and do the $25 for 6, let it expire, then do it again. For me, with 5 accounts, it wasn't worth the hassle. You can negotiate pricing with them, and do use their promotional offers against them. But it always seems the longer the contract you are willing to give them, the better the monthly average price is. But don't expect the $4.17/mo rate that the $25 for 6 ends up being. Or the $4.99/mo rate that you used to get for having multiple active radios. If you can get anywhere near $6/mo average, you are doing very good from my experience recently.
I transferred the remaining months from my 2013's 5yr contract when I turned it in and put them on my 2016, which get added after the 6 mos free. The more radios you have, doesn't necessarily mean the better pricing you get. It used to help, but seems less that it does. Best option they ever had was the lifetime subscription, providing you keep you vehicle long enough. My wife keeps her Acuras for a long time, so when we bought her 2010, we did the lifetime for something like $550 back then. When we bought her next Acura, they no longer had it, so we could only do the 5 yr (she still has her 2010).

$20 for 5 months + taxes, fees. SAVE20M
I phone in and cancel and wait for deals. OR do it online code works.
Or if you have patience on the phone waiting for a CSR hold onto your guns and ask for the same over the phone. If they won't honor it. Hang up and phone back and get a different CSR on the phone.

I just call either the day of or the day before to cancel. when they ask why tell them the renewel cost too much. I tell them if they will renew at my current rate I will keep it. most time that's all it takes, the last time I had to go thru several bad options before they relented and gave me the 6/25.

My wife wanted to keep it in her edge after the trial period. I signed up for the one in the SUV and mobile access. When my truck runs out I'll probably just stream it from my phone over Bluetooth. It is convenient to be able to pull it up no matter were I a.m. and also get live cnn, baseball, and football of all games and teams. Overpriced tho

For the longest time I fought against the idea of ever paying for a music subscription. That was until I bought a car in 2013 and it came with a free 3 month subscription. After listening to stations like Lithium and Backspin...I was hooked. I knew after my trial period was over I was going to renew it. Back then, I did a quick Google search and found the link below.
