Default Siri

Siri is driving me nuts.
I ask her to send message to Joe smith.
she says what would you like to say?
I say “how are you doing”
long pause and she disconnects.
I have gone back several times and read the questions to her for set up. It says complete but then only works half way.
any ideas?

Mine recently acted funky after one of the last updates. So I deleted from phone and truck. Disconnected battery for 15 plus minutes. Reconnected battery, setup pair again and all returned to normal. I think the key for me was the long battery disconnect,

Anytime mine acts wonky a phone reboot cures the issue. Are you on the latest Sync update with the truck?

All was OK until I had a battery change. Then everything went to hell.
I'm still on sync 2.3 but it was working well. I think 3.4 is latest but don’t understand how to upgrade via thumb drive. They say Wi-Fi will take a week.
so I’m just trying to hobble along until I can take to dealer and let them do it.

thanks for your advice.
